In 2010, my friend Les Hilliard sent me an mp3 he had made called "Dream Catcher." He asked if I would be up for animating it. I said yes, but it took me over three years to finish. Not that it actually took three years, I was just really busy. I animated it in Flash, then applied some texture stuff in After Effects.
First year film at CalArts. About a guy living with an unfortunate condition.
We were challenged to fully produce this fun and ambitious project. A short animated film dealing with environmental issues. Our main goal was to develop a unique visual style and interesting animation that will go hand in hand with the film narrative. The result is the movie trailer which is the first 2 minutes of the film.
A guy who live in a world which single will turn into a light bulb when couple touch each other like holding hand.
Using only 2 months, our founder, Mr. Kwai Bun, wanted to test his own limit by SOLELY producing a short film( including direction & pre-production), with a complexity and quality that usually takes more than 1-2 years to complete, or requires a dedicated team. Sounds impossible?
