Fred is a personal stop motion short. It got finished thanks to many friends, bank loans, and credit cards. I devoted spare time between jobs, moving the sets and puppets from one city to the next zig-zagging the west coast from LA to Seattle.

While Cicada Princess was still in production, I started composing some themes based on the story. I visited the set a few times, so I had an idea about the look of film. I probably had a feature film's worth of music for this short. Once there was a locked edit it became clear that, although the story is kind of epic and operatic in scale, the score needed to provide a thread to tie together the quickly-moving story together.

This is the original motion comic for 47 Ronin featuring an original story and artwork from Sean Salter. Narrated by Keone Young, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, this short film ventures into the backstory of Japan's fabled 47 Ronin through a modern form of Chusingura.
