Evolution of the Bicycle

I made this video for a school application. The theme for the assignment was "changes" and my result is this 1 min. animation that tells the history and evolution of the bicycle. From the very beginning where we putted a stick on two wheels and all the way to the modern racer we all know today.

I learned a lot about the bicycle improvementsand and changes through the last 200 years and what point of wiev we had - we came from the back of a horse and wagon and that shows in the early designs. We even got inspired by the locomotive before the first pedal was invented.

It is interresting to see how the designs start pretty simple, become more and more complex to become more and more simple again where we are today. If a had more time i would had added many more details to the bikes and the animation between them. I also thord about letting it evolve intro the future, but the deadline was a barrier. Maeby someday i will open the project again and tweek and tune it untill my 100% satisfaction, or at least 95% :)

It is all made with After Effects and a lot of thoughts.
